Kefalonia is one of the most spectacular and largest islands in the Ionian sea (800 km2) located between Italy and the Greek continent.
There is a variety of 80 beautiful beaches, most of them have the blue flag for their cleanliness. Visit Myrtos Beach, one the most impressive beaches of the world.
Lourdas Beach is the closest beach to our house. You will find traditional tavernas, bars, mini-markets. You can also rent sunbeds or motorboats, to reach the wildest beaches in the neighborhood.
Close to our home (walking access only) there are 2 wild beaches : Sissia beach and Lefka beach.

The countryside is great for hiking, in the natural park of Mount Ainos, the highest mountain of the island (1620 m).
